Defect
On large touring buses, the idler pulley that retains the air-conditioning drive belt is improperly designed, allowing the grease lubricating the pulley bearing to be flung out. Continued use causes the bearing to seize and, in the worst case, the pulley and belt may contact each other and ignite.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the idler pulley with the corrected part.

状況
大型観光バスにおいて、①エアコン駆動用ベルトを保持するアイドルプーリの構造が不適切なため、当該プーリのベアリングを潤滑するグリスが飛散するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ベアリングが焼き付き、最悪の場合、プーリとベルトが擦れて発火するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、①当該アイドルプーリを対策品と交換する。
