Defect
In the transmission gear shift unit (GSU), the air supply port connector mounting area has insufficient strength. Repeated vibration from gear noise and similar sources during gear changes causes fatigue at the connector threads, which may fracture and produce an air leak. This results in shift faults and incomplete clutch disengagement. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the GSU air supply port body with a new part, replace the air supply port connector with a corrected part, reroute the clutch air hose to a rigid pipe configuration, and add pipe clamps. Tightening procedures are newly established to ensure the specified torque and proper thread engagement are achieved. Because full supply of permanent remedy parts will take time, as an interim measure, the affected threads will be inspected for air leaks; vehicles with confirmed leaks will receive the permanent remedy immediately, while vehicles without leaks will receive it at a later date.

状況
変速機のギヤシフトユニット(GSU)において、エア供給口のコネクタ取付部の強度が不足しているため、変速時にギヤ鳴き等の振動がコネクタねじ部に繰り返しかかった場合、当該ねじ部が破損してエア洩れが発生するものがある。 そのため、変速不良及びクラッチ切れ不良が発生し、最悪の場合、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、GSUのエア供給口ボデーを新品に、エア供給口のコネクタを対策品に、クラッチ行きエアホース配管をパイプ配管に変更すると共にパイプクランプを追加する。また、締め付け要領を新たに設定し、規定トルクで締め付けて、ねじの噛み合い量を適正に確保する。 なお、恒久措置用部品の全数供給に時間を要することから、当面の暫定措置として、当該ねじ部をエア洩れ点検し、洩れのある場合は恒久措置を実施する。 また、問題ない場合は後日、恒久措置を実施する。
