Defect
Vehicles equipped with a dealer-installed auto-light system (a device that automatically turns the headlamps on and off based on ambient light) have an improperly designed electrical circuit in the auto-light unit. As a result, when the high-beam headlamps are illuminated, the indicator lamp that displays the high-beam activation state fails to light.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace a portion of the auto-light electrical wiring with the corrected part.
