Defect
The end profile of the rubber seal at the rear of the master cylinder is improperly shaped. During brake fluid filling in the manufacturing process, subsequent brake pedal operation may cause a portion of the seal to fold back. Brake fluid may then leak past the seal. Continued operation may cause the brake warning light to illuminate and, in the worst case, air may enter the brake system and reduce braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the master cylinder for brake fluid leaks. On any vehicle exhibiting a leak, replace the master cylinder with a corrected part.

状況
①ブレーキマスターシリンダ後端のゴム製シールの端部形状が不適切なため、製造過程での制動液充填後のブレーキ操作によりシールの一部がめくれるものがある。そのため、当該シール部より制動液が漏れ、そのまま使用を続けるとブレーキ警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、空気が入り込み制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、マスターシリンダからの制動液漏れを点検し、漏れがあるものはマスターシリンダを対策品と交換する。
