Defect
The electrical circuit for the auxiliary braking device (electromagnetic retarder) was improperly designed. When the electromagnetic retarder is active, the brake stop lamps do not illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add the required electrical wiring to the affected circuit.
