Defect
On tow trucks on which the right rear brake hose routing was modified, the brake hose is improperly routed. When the rear axle moves up and down, the hose may contact the ABS wiring bracket mounted on the upper left side of the rear axle. Continued operation under these conditions can damage the hose and, in the worst case, cause brake fluid to leak and reduce braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ABS wiring bracket with the corrected part and replace the brake hose with a new part.
