Defect
The bracket securing the clamp for the fuel injection nozzle pipe has insufficient strength, causing the bracket to fracture due to engine vibration. Additionally, the shape of the high-pressure fuel pipe and the structure of its securing clamp are improperly designed, causing the clamp bolt to fracture or loosen and the clamp to detach due to engine vibration. Continued use may cause cracks to develop in the injection nozzle pipe or high-pressure fuel pipe, resulting in a fuel leak. In the worst case, the engine stops and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the bracket and high-pressure fuel pipe. Where the corrected part is not installed, replace with the corrected part and torque the clamp to the specified value. Affix a caution label noting maintenance precautions to the side of the engine. For bolt-type clamps, replace with the corrected part where not already installed. For nut-type clamps, apply adhesive to the threaded surface of the stud bolt. As an interim measure while full parts supply is pending, inspect the relevant components and replace any high-pressure fuel pipe showing loosening, or any injection nozzle pipe bracket or high-pressure fuel pipe showing damage, with the corrected part.

状況
燃料噴射装置の噴射ノズル用パイプを固定するクランプのブラケット強度が不足しているため、エンジン振動により当該ブラケットが折損するものがある。また、高圧燃料パイプの形状及び当該燃料パイプの締付クランプの構造が不適切なため、エンジン振動によりクランプボルトが折損又は弛み、当該クランプが脱落することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、噴射ノズル用パイプ又は高圧燃料パイプに亀裂が生じ、燃料が漏れ、最悪の場合、エンジン停止、再始動不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ブラケット及び高圧燃料パイプを点検し、対策品が未装着の場合は対策品と交換し、クランプを規定トルクで締付けるとともに整備時の注意事項を記載した注意銘板をエンジン側面へ貼り付ける。また、ボルトで締付けるクランプについては、対策品の未装着車両は対策品と交換し、ナットで締付けるクランプについては、植え込みボルトのネジ面に接着剤を塗布する。 なお、対策品の全数供給に時間を要するため、当面の暫定措置として、当該部を点検し、高圧燃料パイプの弛み、噴射ノズル用パイプブラケット、高圧燃料パイプに損傷があるものは対策品と交換する。
