Defect
The bellows section of the exhaust pipe has insufficient structural strength. When the engine retarder is engaged, the exhaust pipe resonates and cracks may develop in the bellows section. This may allow exhaust gas to leak from the affected area.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust pipe with the corrected part.

状況
エキゾーストパイプの蛇管部分の強度が不足しているため、エンジンリターダを使用した場合、エキゾーストパイプが共振し、当該蛇管部分に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、当該部分から排出ガスが漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エキゾーストパイプを対策品と交換する。
