Defect
The rear axle shaft material on single rear-axle heavy-duty trucks is incorrect, resulting in insufficient strength near the flange base under the high input loads experienced during vehicle launch. Aggressive operation such as sudden starts may fracture the shaft, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear axle shaft with a corrected part.

状況
後１軸駆動の大型トラックのリヤアクスルシャフトの材質が不適切なため、発進時の過大 入力に対するフランジ根元付近の強度が不足している。そのため、急発進等の過酷な操作 により、当該シャフトが破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リヤアクスルシャフトを対策品に交換する。
