Defect
In the common-rail fuel injection system, the flow damper (a flow-limiting component) has insufficient strength. Repeated fuel pressure cycles during injection cause cracks to develop at the injection pipe mounting area of the flow damper. Continued use allows the crack to propagate and fuel to leak. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may result.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the flow damper with the corrected part. The fuel injection pipe shall also be replaced with a part compatible with the corrected flow damper.

状況
コモンレール式燃料噴射装置において、フローダンパ（流量を制限する部品）の強度が 不足しているため、燃料噴射時の燃料圧力の繰り返しにより、フローダンパの噴射パイプ 取付け部に亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し 燃料が漏れ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フローダンパを対策品と交換する。なお、燃料噴射パイプも対策品のフローダン パに対応したものと交換する。
