Defect
Insufficient waterproofing of the cable for the rear door active power lock system allows water to enter the cable, causing rust to develop. The resulting increase in sliding resistance raises the operating force required at the rear door handle. In the worst case, the rear door may become impossible to open.
Corrective action
Inspect the rear door active power lock system cable on all vehicles. If an uncorrected part is installed, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
後部扉用アクティブパワーロック装置用ケーブルの防水性が不十分なため、当該ケーブ ル内に水が浸入し、錆が発生することがある。そのため、当該ケーブルの摺動抵抗が大き くなり、後部扉ドアハンドルの操作力が増大し、最悪の場合、後部扉が開かなくなるおそ れがある。
改善措置
全車両、後部扉用アクティブパワーロック装置用ケーブルを点検し、未対策品が装着され ているものは対策品と交換する。
