Defect
On diesel engine-equipped vehicles, the vacuum pump's internal design and structural strength are insufficient. The internal vanes and case may fracture, eliminating vacuum output. This causes the brake booster to stop functioning, reducing braking effectiveness under normal pedal effort. Additionally, engine oil lubricating the vacuum pump may leak, resulting in insufficient engine lubrication. In the worst case, the engine may stall and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected vacuum pump with a corrected part.

状況
ディーゼルエンジン搭載車両において、 ①バキュームポンプの内部構造及び強度が不適切なため、ポンプ内部のベーン（羽根）お よびケースが破損して負圧が発生しなくなり、ブレーキ倍力装置が作動しなくなって、 通常の踏力ではブレーキの効きが悪くなり、また、バキュームポンプを潤滑しているエ ンジンオイルが漏れて原動機の潤滑が不十分となり、原動機が停止して再始動が出来な くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、当該バキュームポンプを対策品と交換する。
