Defect
The engine starter cable routed between the battery relay and the starter motor is improperly routed, causing it to contact the transfer case mounting bracket. Continued use allows engine vibration to wear through the cable insulation, resulting in a short circuit. In the worst case, the vehicle cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reroute the affected cable along a revised path and add a corrugated protective tube.

状況
バッテリーリレーとスタータモータ間の原動機始動用ケーブルの配索方法が不適切なため 、副変速機固定用ブラケットと接触し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、原動機の振動 等により、当該ケーブルの被覆が破損して短絡し、最悪の場合、再始動できなくなるおそ れがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ケーブルの配索経路を変更すると共に、コルゲートチューブを追加する。
