Defect
In the steering linkage mechanism, the fastening bolts connecting the center arm and rack ends were not tightened to the specified torque on some vehicles. Continued use in this condition allows the bolts to loosen, generating abnormal noise. In the worst case, the bolts may fall out and compromise vehicle controllability.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected bolts with friction-stabilizer-coated bolts, add washers, and tighten to the specified torque.

状況
かじ取り装置のリンク機構において、センターアームとラックエンドの締結ボルトの締め 付けトルクが不足しているものがあるため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ボル トの緩みから異音が発生し、最悪の場合、ボルトが脱落して操縦性が損なわれるおそれが ある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ボルトを摩擦安定剤付きボルトに交換するとともに、ワッシャを追加し、正 規トルクで締め付ける。
