Defect
The engine control unit contains incorrect software. While driving, the ignition system may rarely shut down temporarily, causing a momentary reduction in vehicle speed. In the worst case, the catalytic converter located immediately downstream of the exhaust manifold may sustain internal damage.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine control unit with a corrected part and inspect the catalytic converter. If damage is found, replace it with a conforming part.

状況
エンジンを制御するコンピュータのプログラム不適切なため、走行中、まれに点火装置が 停止して一時的に車速が減速することがあり、最悪の場合、エキゾーストマニホールド直 後の触媒コンバータ内部が損傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該コンピュータを対策品と交換するとともに、触媒コンバータを点検し、損傷 している場合は良品と交換する。
