On vehicles equipped with power windows, the driver-side switch that raises and lowers the door glass contains a manufacturing defect. Continued use causes a short circuit inside the switch, preventing the door glass from operating. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.

Corrective action

Inspect all vehicles and insert insulating synthetic rubber at the short-circuit location. Where the affected area is damaged, replace the switch with a conforming part.
