Issue

In the fuel tank, the check valve that prevents fuel from flowing back from the tank to the filler neck during refueling is improperly assembled on some vehicles. When tank internal pressure rises significantly under high-temperature conditions, suddenly opening the filler cap may cause fuel to spill from the filler neck.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the check valve in the fuel tank. If the valve is improperly assembled, correct or replace it; if the fuel tank itself is defective, replace it with a new unit.

状況

 燃料タンクにおいて、給油時に内圧によるタンクから注入口への燃料の戻りを防止する バルブ(逆止弁)の組付けに不適切なものがあるため、高温時等でタンクの内圧が非常に 高くなった時、キャップを急に開けると注入口から燃料の一部がこぼれ出るおそれがある 。

改善措置

 全車両、燃料タンクの当該バルブを点検し、不適切なものはバルブを修正、または燃料 タンクを良品と交換する。
