Defect
In the auxiliary brake lamp, the printed wiring on the internal circuit board is improperly positioned. During vehicle operation, vibration causes the board's mounting screws to contact and abrade the insulation on the printed wiring, creating a short circuit in the power supply circuit. This blows the fuse and may cause warning lights to illuminate in the instrument cluster, warning messages to appear on the multi-information display, and the auxiliary brake lamp and brake lamps to become inoperative. In the worst case, the engine may fail to start.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the auxiliary brake lamp with a corrected part.

状況
補助制動灯において、内部基板のプリント配線の位置設定が不適切なため、走行中の振動により当該基板を固定するねじとプリント配線が干渉するものがある。そのため、プリント配線の絶縁処理が削れ、その状態でブレーキ操作を行うと電源回路が短絡し、ヒューズが溶断して、メータ内警告灯の点灯、マルチインフォメーションディスプレイの警告表示、補助制動灯及び制動灯が不灯となる、または、エンジンの始動ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、補助制動灯を対策品と交換する。
