Defect
In the front suspension, the resin bearing is improperly assembled, causing it to be shaved during tightening of the nut that secures the damper unit to the damper mount. Fragments become trapped between the bearing and the washer seating surface, reducing clamping force. Additionally, use of an incorrect tightening tool further reduces clamping force on some units. When the steering is turned, play develops at the damper rod joint, subjecting the area around the joint to excessive stress. If the condition is allowed to continue, the rod may fracture, compromising driving stability.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front suspension with a corrected part.

状況
前輪サスペンションにおいて、樹脂製ベアリングの組付方法が不適切なため、ダンパユニットとダンパマウントを締め付けるナット締付時にベアリングが削れ、その破片がワッシャ座面との間に挟まり、ナットの締結力が不足するものがある。また、当該ナットの締付用工具が不適切なため、ナットの締結力が不足するものがある。そのため、ハンドル転舵時にダンパユニットのロッド締結部にガタが生じ、締結部近傍に過大な応力が加わり、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、当該ロッドが折損し、走行安定性を損なうおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前輪サスペンションを対策品に交換する。
