Defect
In the side curtain airbag, the crimp load setting for the clamp ring that secures the inflator to the airbag is improperly specified, causing some clamp rings to be over-crimped and have insufficient structural strength. When the side curtain airbag deploys at high cabin temperatures, internal inflator pressure rises, the clamp ring fractures, and the airbag fails to deploy normally. As a result, occupant protection performance may not be met.
Corrective action
① On all vehicles, replace both the left and right side curtain airbags with corrected parts. ② On all vehicles, replace the right side curtain airbag with a corrected part.

状況
サイドカーテンエアバッグにおいて、インフレータ(膨張装置)とエアバッグを固定するクランプリングのかしめ荷重の設定が不適切なため、過大な荷重でかしめられ、クランプリングの強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、車室内高温時にサイドカーテンエアバッグが展開した際、インフレータ内圧が増加し、クランプリングが破断してエアバッグが正常に展開できず、乗員保護性能を満足しないおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、左右のサイドカーテンエアバッグを対策品と交換する。 ②全車両、右のサイドカーテンエアバッグを対策品と交換する。
