Defect

In snow removal vehicles, the work engine alternator wiring is routed incorrectly. Radiant heat from the engine exhaust manifold may melt the wiring insulation. Continued use in this condition exposes bare conductors that may short circuit and, in the worst case, ignite the wiring insulation and cause a vehicle fire.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, add a complete bracket assembly and reroute the alternator wiring. If the wiring insulation has already melted, replace the wiring with new parts.

状況

除雪車の電気配線において、作業用エンジンのオルタネータ配線の配索が不適切なため、エンジンエキゾーストマニホールドの輻射熱により配線被覆が溶損するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、配線が露出して短絡し、最悪の場合、配線被覆に引火して車両火災となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ブラケット一式を追加し、オルタネータ配線の配索を変更する。配線が溶損している場合は、新品に交換する。
