Defect
In the driver-side airbag inflator, the propellant may absorb moisture and degrade. This degradation may cause the airbag to fail to deploy normally when activated. In the worst case, the inflator housing may rupture.
Corrective action
As a precautionary measure, replace the affected inflator on all vehicles with an alternative part. Because procurement of replacement parts requires additional time, replacements will be performed sequentially as parts become available.

状況
運転席側エアバッグのインフレータ(ガス発生装置)において、ガス発生剤が吸湿して劣化することがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開時に正常展開しないおそれがあり、最悪の場合、インフレータ容器が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、当該インフレータを代替品に交換する。なお、交換用部品の準備に時間を要することから、準備ができた段階で順次交換する。
