Defect
On large trucks, the radiator lower hose is improperly assembled, leaving insufficient clearance between the hose and the engine under cover. When the hose expands, vibration of the engine under cover at engine idling causes the two components to contact each other, damaging the hose. Continued use allows a crack to develop in the hose, leading to coolant leak. In the worst case, the engine may overheat.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect and correct the radiator lower hose installation, and replace the engine under cover with the corrected part. If the radiator lower hose is damaged, replace it with a new part.

状況
大型トラックの冷却装置において、ラジエータロアホースの組付け方法が不適切なため、当該ホースとエンジンアンダーカバーの隙間が狭いものがある。そのため、当該ホースが膨張した場合、エンジンアイドリング時においてエンジンアンダーカバーが振動することにより双方が干渉して、当該ホースが損傷することがある。そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ホースに亀裂が生じ冷却水が漏れ、そのため、最悪の場合、オーバーヒートに至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ラジエータロアホースの組付け状態を確認・修正し、エンジンアンダーカバーを対策品と交換する。なお、ラジエータロアホースに損傷があるものは新品と交換する。
