Defect
The hybrid system computer contains an improperly designed control program. When the accelerator pedal is depressed heavily during high-speed driving, the computer may fail to complete its shift processing within the specified time. The computer then detects this as an abnormality, illuminates a warning light, and shuts down the hybrid system, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
