Defect
During final vehicle inspection at the manufacturing plant, it was found that inspectors who had not received the required training were conducting pass/fail determinations. As a result, inspections related to the Road Vehicles Safety Standards were not properly performed.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, perform an inspection at a designated service facility and have a certified vehicle inspector verify conformance. Any nonconformance with the Road Vehicles Safety Standards will be corrected.
