Defect
During the manufacturing process of fuel tanks for medium-duty trucks, the seam welding conditions following press forming were improperly set, leaving some tank radius (R) sections incompletely fused. Continued use may allow fuel to seep from the affected area. In the worst case, fuel may drip from the tank.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel tank with a conforming unit. For vehicles on which a service replacement part may have been installed, confirm the fuel tank manufacturing lot number and replace the tank with a conforming unit if it falls within the affected range.

状況
中型トラックの燃料タンク製造工程において、プレス成型後のシーム溶接の条件設定が不適切なため、燃料タンクのＲ部分が融合されていないことがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該部位から燃料が滲み出ることがあり、最悪の場合、滴下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料タンクを良品と交換する。また、交換修理用部品が組み付けられた可能性がある車両は、燃料タンクの製造ロット番号を確認し、該当する場合は燃料タンクを良品と交換する。
