Defect
In the rear wheel primary brake system, insufficient corrosion resistance of the wheel cylinder pistons allows moisture from the outside air to enter the cylinder during normal use, causing rust to form on the pistons. The rust restricts piston movement, damaging the seal and causing brake fluid to leak, which illuminates the warning light. In the worst case, braking force may decrease.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the wheel cylinders with corrected/revised parts. Where brake fluid contamination of the brake shoes is found, replace the brake shoes with new parts.

状況
後輪用主ブレーキにおいて、ホイールシリンダのピストンの防錆性能が不足しているため、使用過程において外気の水分が当該シリンダ内に侵入するとピストンに錆が発生することがある。そのため、錆によりピストンの動きが悪くなることでシールが傷つけられ、ブレーキ液が漏れ、警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ホイールシリンダを対策品に交換するとともに、ブレーキシューにブレーキ液が付着している物は、新品のブレーキシューに交換する。
