Defect
On the aftermarket beacon light installed on the vehicle, stress concentrates at the insert nut sections of the lower cover among the 16 peripheral fastening points connecting the upper and lower covers. When driving vibration, solar heat, and other external factors act on these stress-concentrated areas, cracks may develop. Continued use in this condition can damage the fastening points and, in the worst case, cause the upper cover to detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the beacon light with a corrected part.
