Defect
The electrical circuit design of the automatic headlight leveling system (auto-leveler) used with high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights is inadequate. If contact resistance develops at circuit contact points during service, the automatic leveling system may fail to operate correctly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the automatic headlight leveling system electronic control unit (ECU) with a corrected part designed to operate without being affected by contact resistance.

状況
高輝度放電式（ＨＩＤ）前照灯の自動式照射方向調節装置（レベラー）において、電気回路が不適切なため、使用過程で回路接点に接触抵抗が発生した場合に、自動式照射方向調節装置（レベラー）が正常に作動しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動式照射方向調節装置（レベラー）の電子制御ユニット（ＥＣＵ）を接触抵抗の影響を受けない制御にした対策品と交換する。
