Defect
Use of improper fuel applies excessive pressure to the pressure-reducing valve inside the vaporizer, causing it to lose airtight integrity. When the engine is started, fuel flows abruptly, activating the excess-flow prevention valve and preventing the engine from starting.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the gas cylinder with a corrected part and inspect the pressure-reducing valve; if an improved valve is not already installed, replace it with the improved part. In addition, attach a caution plate to the gas cylinder cover specifying the requirement to use automotive autogas and the procedure for resetting the excess-flow prevention valve when it activates.

状況
不適正な燃料を使用するとベーパライザー内の減圧弁に高い圧力がかかるため気密不良となり、エンジン始動時に燃料が急激に流れ過流防止弁が作動し、エンジンが始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ガス容器を対策品に交換するとともに、減圧弁を確認し、改良品が装着されていない場合は改良品に交換する。 また、自動車用オートガスの使用の徹底と過流防止弁作動時の処置方法を記載したコーションプレートをガス容器カバーに貼付する。
