Defect
On sunroof-equipped vehicles, the method of securing the front sunroof opening and closing link bracket to the guide rail, combined with improper assembly during the manufacturing process, allows the screws to loosen and develop play during service. Continued operation causes the screws to disengage, allowing the front edge of the sunroof to lift under driving vibration and wind pressure. In the worst case, the plastic slider breaks and the sunroof glass detaches from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the opening and closing link bracket screws for looseness; where looseness is found, replace the complete opening and closing link assembly with a corrected part. Additionally, on all vehicles, secure the sunroof glass to the guide rail with a wire.

状況
サンルーフ付車両において、前席サンルーフの開閉リンクブラケットとガイドレールの固定方法及び製造工程における作業が不適切なため、使用過程においてネジが緩んでガタが発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ネジが外れて走行中の振動や風圧等によりサンルーフ前端が浮き、最悪の場合、樹脂スライダが破損し、サンルーフガラスが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、開閉リンクブラケット部のネジの緩みを点検し、緩みがあるものは、開閉リンク一式を対策品と交換する。また、全車両、サンルーフガラスとガイドレールをワイヤで締結する。
