Defect
The rear suspension support bracket — the body-side mounting fitting for the radius rod that secures the rear axle — has insufficient waterproofing and rust-prevention treatment. Road de-icing agents and moisture accumulate on the interior surface, causing rust to develop. Continued use allows the rust to progress and crack the bracket. In the worst case, the bracket may fracture and separate from the vehicle along with the radius rod, compromising driving stability.
Corrective action
Inspect the subject bracket on all vehicles. Vehicles that have not yet received the corrected part are fitted with the corrected part. Vehicles already fitted with the corrected part that meet the acceptance criteria receive rust-prevention treatment. Because parts supply and repair work require time, an interim measure is implemented: inspect the subject area, apply rust-prevention treatment to vehicles meeting the acceptance criteria, and subsequently replace the bracket with the corrected part. In addition, a maintenance standard requiring periodic inspection and servicing of this area is established.

状況
後車軸を固定するラジアスロッドの車体側取付金具(リヤサスペンションサポート)の防水構造及び防錆処理が不適切なため、融雪剤等が内面に付着して錆が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、錆の進行により、当該金具に亀裂が発生することがあり、最悪の場合、当該金具が破損してラジアスロッドとともに脱落し、走行安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該金具を点検し、対策品が未装着の車両は対策品と交換する。但し、当該金具を既に対策品と交換済で、かつ判定基準を満足するものは、防錆処置を実施する。 なお、対策品の供給及び改修作業に時間を要するため、当面の暫定措置として、当該部位を点検し、判定基準を満足するものについては、防錆処置を実施した上で、後日、当該金具を対策品と交換する。 さらに、当該部位については、定期的な点検・整備を行う整備基準を定める。
