Defect
On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the forward/reverse shift cables are incorrect in length, causing a severe bend to develop in a section of each cable. Repeated shift operations may cause the cable to fracture, rendering shift operation impossible. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the forward/reverse shift cables with corrected parts.

状況
②手動変速機付車において、前後進用シフトケーブルの長さが不適切なため、当該ケーブ ルの一部に大きな曲げが加わり、シフト操作を繰り返すと、ケーブルが折損することがあ る。そのため、シフト操作が出来なくなり、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
②全車両、前後進用シフトケーブルを対策品に交換する。
