Defect
The crankcase baffle wall geometry is improperly designed, causing the oil pump to ingest air and resulting in insufficient lubrication of the connecting rod crankshaft-side bearings. Continued use causes premature bearing wear and increasing rotational resistance. In the worst case, the engine may stall and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install a corrected plate on the crankcase baffle wall.

状況
原動機のクランクケースの隔壁形状が不適切なため、オイルポンプが空気を吸い込み、 コンロッドのクランクシャフト側ベアリングが潤滑不足となり、そのままの状態で使用を 続けると、当該ベアリングが早期摩耗し、摩耗抵抗が増大することから、最悪の場合、 原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該クランクケースの隔壁に対策用のプレートを追加する。
