Defect
The fuel filter mounted on the engine vibrates within a specific high-speed engine RPM range. Prolonged operation under these conditions causes the fuel line retaining bracket to fracture, imposing excessive stress on the fuel filter. Continued use then causes a crack to develop near the junction between the fuel filter body and the fuel line at its upper section, resulting in a fuel leak. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected fuel filter with a fuel filter equipped with a support bracket. Inspect the fuel line retaining bracket and, if a crack or fracture is found, replace both the retaining bracket and the fuel line with new parts.

状況
原動機に取り付けられている燃料ろ過器が、原動機の特定の高速回転域で振動し、この ような状態を長時間続けると、燃料配管の保持金具が折損して、燃料ろ過器に過大な応力 が発生する。更にこのままの状態で使用を続けると、燃料ろ過器上部の燃料配管との結合 部付近に亀裂が入り燃料が漏れ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該燃料ろ過器を支持金具付き燃料ろ過器に交換するとともに、燃料配管の保 持金具を点検し、亀裂または折損しているものは、保持金具及び燃料配管を新品と交換す る。
