Defect
On diesel vehicles, the fuel filter mounted to the engine has insufficient strength. Frequent engine starts and stops cause fuel pressure fluctuations that may crack the filter case. Continued operation allows the crack to progress, damaging the filter case and, in the worst case, causing a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel filter with a corrected part.

状況
ディーゼル車の燃料装置において、原動機に取り付けられている燃料フィルタの強度が不足しているため、頻繁に原動機の始動、停止を行うと燃料圧力の変動により、燃料フィルタのケースに亀裂が入るものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行してフィルタケースが破損して、最悪の場合、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該燃料フィルタを対策品に交換する。
