Issue
On large and medium-sized transit buses, the material and structure of the protective trim on the edge of the interior fuel tank cover are improper. When passengers board or alight, luggage or other items may contact the trim, causing the outer skin to wear away and expose the internal metal core. Continued use allows passengers to contact the exposed metal edge and sustain injury.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the protective trim on the edge of the interior fuel tank cover with a corrected part.

状況
大型・中型路線バスにおいて、室内燃料タンクカバー端部の保護材の材質及び構造が不適切なため、乗客が乗降する際に手荷物等が接触すると、保護材の表皮が摩耗して内部の芯金が露出することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、乗客が露出した芯金の端部に触れて負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、室内燃料タンクカバー端部の保護材を対策品に交換する。
