Issue

The tightening torque specification for the bolts securing the center stand to the bottom of the engine case was set incorrectly. Repeated use involving strong impact vibration—such as repeatedly revving the engine to high RPM with the center stand deployed—may cause the mounting bolts to loosen. In the worst case, the center stand may detach from the vehicle.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the bolts with revised parts, tighten them to the new specified torque, and add a fold-type anti-rotation lock plate at each bolt seat.

状況

 センタスタンドをエンジンケース底部に取り付けているボルトの締め付けトルクの設定 が不適切であったため、当該スタンドを立てて高回転の空吹かしを繰り返す等、強い衝撃 をともなう振動を受けるような使用の繰り返しにより、締め付けボルトがゆるむものがあ り、このままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、センタスタンドが脱落するおそれが ある。

改善措置

 全車両、当該ボルトを変更し、新規規定締め付けトルクで締め付けるとともに、ボルト 座に折り曲げ式回り止めプレートを追加する。
