Defect
Improper settings in the molding equipment during production caused some roof trim panels to be manufactured thicker than specification. The excess thickness may prevent the curtain airbag mounted on the reverse side of the roof trim from deploying normally.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the roof trim with a conforming part.
