Defect
On van-type large trucks, the electrical wiring connection for the auxiliary turn signal lamp mounted at the rear overhang is incorrect. When a bulb failure occurs in any front- or rear-facing turn signal lamp, the flash cycle of the turn signal indicator on the meter cluster does not change. As a result, the driver cannot detect a turn signal malfunction from the driver's seat.
Corrective action
Modify the electrical wiring connection of the auxiliary turn signal lamp on all vehicles.
