Defect
In the power control unit's DC-DC converter, inadequate manufacturing controls affecting a circuit component that regulates voltage supply to the battery may cause the unit to enter a control mode after a cold start and cut power to the battery. This results in insufficient battery charge, illuminating warning lights and warning messages. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the power supply control software in the power control unit with the corrected/updated software.

状況
パワーコントロールユニットの電圧変換装置(DC-DCコンバータ)において、バッテリへの供給電圧を制御する回路上の素子の製造管理が不適切なため、冷間始動後にフェールセーフモードへ移行して、バッテリへの給電を停止することがある。そのため、バッテリが充電不足となり、警告灯、警告表示が点灯し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パワーコントロールユニット内の給電制御プログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。
