Defect
The power steering hydraulic hose was improperly crimped at the rubber hose-to-end fitting joint. Repeated steering inputs apply hydraulic pressure that can cause the hose to separate from the fitting, resulting in an oil leak and increased steering effort. In the worst case, ejected oil may contact the exhaust pipe and cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the power steering high-pressure hose with a corrected part.
