Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, the seal cap fitted to the end of the transfer internal gear has insufficient pressure resistance, allowing automatic transmission fluid to leak out through the transfer unit. Continued operation may, in the worst case, render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the internal gear with a new assembly fitted with an improved seal cap of increased pressure resistance.

状況
オートマチックトランスミッションを搭載した四輪駆動車において、トランスファ内インターナルギヤ端部に装着されているシールキャップの耐圧性不足により、オートマチックトランスミッションフルードがトランスファを経由して外部に流出するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、耐圧性を向上したシールキャップ付のインターナルギヤに交換する。
