Defect
The V-rod that secures the rear rear axle to the frame on vehicles equipped with a 4-bag air spring suspension system has an improper shape. Under high-load cornering and lateral forces, cracks develop in the rod's weld joints. Continued use allows the weld to fracture, separating the V-rod from the axle, causing the axle to shift laterally until the tire contacts the chassis. In the worst case, driving stability is compromised.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the V-rod with the corrected part and replace the bracket with a redesigned unit.

状況
4バック式空気ばね緩衝装置付車両の後後車軸を車枠に固定するVロッドの形状が不適切なため、高負荷時の車両旋回等の横荷重により、当該ロッドの溶接部に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、溶接部が折損し、Vロッドと車軸が外れ、車軸が横方向にずれてタイヤと車台が接触し、最悪の場合、走行安定性がそこなわれるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該Vロッドを対策品と交換するとともに、形状を変更したブラケットに交換する。
