Defect
On vehicles converted to refuse trucks, the dump cylinder is improperly positioned. When the vehicle is loaded and the body deflects significantly — such as when crossing a step or bump — the brake pipe mounting bracket above the rear differential, or the brake pipe and bracket together, may contact the dump cylinder. Continued use can damage the brake pipe. In the worst case, brake fluid may leak, reducing braking force.
Corrective action
Apply the following corrective measures to all vehicles based on model type, chassis number, and ABS configuration: (1) Grind down the upper portion of the brake pipe mounting bracket. (2) Replace the brake pipe and mounting bracket with corrected parts. (3) Replace the brake pipe and mounting bracket with corrected parts, and reroute the ABS wiring. (4) Replace the dump cylinder with a corrected part. In addition, if the brake pipe or mounting bracket is found to be damaged, replace the affected component with a new part.

状況
塵芥車に改造した車両において、ダンプ装置のシリンダの取付位置が不適切なため、積載状態で段差の乗り越え等車体が大きく沈んだ際に、リヤデフ上部のブレーキ配管取付ブラケット、又はブレーキ配管及び取付ブラケットがダンプのシリンダと干渉するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ブレーキ配管が損傷し、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れて制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、型式、車台番号及びABSの有無に応じて以下の措置を行う。 ①ブレーキ配管取付ブラケットの上部を削る。 ②ブレーキ配管及びブレーキ配管取付ブラケットを対策品に交換する。 ③ブレーキ配管及びブレーキ配管取付ブラケットを対策品に交換し、ABS配線の取り回しを変更する。 ④ダンプ装置のシリンダを対策品に交換する。なお、ブレーキ配管又はブレーキ配管取付ブラケットが損傷している場合には、それぞれ新品と交換する。
