Defect
In the lock system for the rear double-door (barn-door style), the return spring force that resets the lock engaging the catch, and the weatherstrip reaction force, are improperly set. When the door is closed slowly, the engagement depth between the lock and catch becomes insufficient. Continued use in this condition allows vehicle vibration during driving to disengage the lock, and in the worst case, the rear double doors open while underway. This recall supplements notification No. 1228, dated September 22, 2004, due to an error in the original vehicle selection; additional vehicles are added under this new filing.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete lock assembly, catch, and weatherstrip with corrected parts. In conjunction with optimizing the lock system spring force, replace the outer handle and control assembly, and add a reinforcement plate to the lock mounting panel.

状況
②車体後面に設けている観音開き扉のロックシステムにおいて、キャッチと噛み合うロックをもどすばねの押しもどし力の設定及びウェザーストリップの反力が不適切なため、扉をゆっくり閉めた場合、当該ロックとキャッチの噛み合い代が不十分となることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、走行時の振動などで噛み合いが外れ、観音開き扉が開放するおそれがある。 本件は、平成16年9月22日付「届出番号1228」にてリコール届出を行ったものですが、対象車の選定に一部誤りがあったため、対象車両を追加し、新たに届出するものです。
改善措置
②全車両、ロック一式、キャッチ、ウェザーストリップを対策品に交換する。なお、ロックシステムのばね力適正化に伴い、アウターハンドル、コントロール一式を変更し、ロック取付部パネルに補強プレートを追加する。
