Defect

An incorrect part was assembled into the connector of the electrical wiring connected to the hydraulic unit, allowing water to enter the hydraulic unit through the connector. Continued operation causes internal corrosion within the unit, leading to poor electrical continuity. In the worst case, the unit may malfunction and fail to release braking force after the brake pedal is released.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the affected electrical wiring is replaced with a corrected part and the hydraulic unit is replaced with a new unit.
