Defect
On wheelchair-accessible vehicles, the tail pipe located rearward of the main muffler has insufficient strength. Repeated extended idling causes cracks to develop at the tail pipe flange. Continued use allows the tail pipe to fracture and contact the brake pipes. In the worst case, the brake pipes may be perforated, brake fluid may leak, and braking force may decrease.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the tail pipe with a corrected part. Additionally, install an interference-prevention protector on the rear floor pan to prevent the brake pipes from being contacted by the tail pipe in the event of a fracture.

状況
車いすを収納する福祉車両の排気管において、主消音器（メインサイレンサー）後方の テールパイプの強度が不十分なため、長時間のアイドリング状態での使用を繰り返し行っ た場合、当該テールパイプのフランジ部に亀裂が発生し、そのままの状態で使用を続ける と、テールパイプが破断してブレーキパイプと干渉し、最悪の場合、ブレーキパイプに穴 があき、ブレーキ液が漏れて制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該テールパイプを対策品と交換するとともに、万一、テールパイプが破断して もブレーキパイプと干渉しないように、リアフロアパンにブレーキパイプとの干渉防止用 プロテクターを取付ける。
