Defect

In the brake system, the design of the front brake hose and the positional relationship between the mounting bracket and the wheel cylinder are inadequate. When the brake hose is installed with a twist, the hose may contact the sidewall of the front tire during steering. Continued use in this condition can wear a hole through the hose, causing brake fluid to leak. In the worst case, braking force is reduced.

Corrective action

On standard-width vehicles, replace the brake hose, bracket, and brake pipes with corrected parts. On wide-body vehicles, replace the brake hose with a corrected part.

状況

制動装置において、前輪用ブレーキホースの構造及びブレーキホースを取り付けているブ ラケットとホイルシリンダーとの位置関係が不適切なため、ブレーキホースを捩じって取 り付けた場合、操舵時にフロントタイヤ側面と当該ホースが接触することがあり、そのま まの状態で使用を続けると、当該ホースに穴があき、ブレーキ液が漏れ、最悪の場合制動 力が低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

対象車両のうち標準幅車についてはブレーキホース、ブラケット、ブレーキパイプを対策 品と交換する。 また、広幅車についてはブレーキホースを対策品と交換する。
