Defect
In the pneumatic parking brake system, the air chamber's air-release mechanism is improperly designed, allowing mud and water to enter the chamber. This blocks the vent hole and causes the piston O-ring to twist, allowing air to leak into the spring chamber. Pressure builds inside the spring chamber, preventing the piston from returning fully, which stops the parking brake from fully releasing. In the worst case, brake fade may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the air chamber with a corrected part.

状況
空気式駐車制動装置において、エアチャンバの空気逃がし機構が不適切なため、チャン バ内に泥水等が侵入することがあり、通気孔がふさがるとともにピストン部のＯリングが 捩れてスプリング室に空気が漏れ、スプリング室内部の圧力が上がり、ピストンの戻りが 不十分となって駐車ブレーキが十分解除されなくなり、最悪の場合、フェード現象を起こ すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアチャンバを対策品と交換する。
